It was a misty and blustery day on Minnesota’s north shore when I met up with T + M for their engagement session. As a photographer, I always look forward to capturing genuine moments and emotions, and I knew this I’d be able to create some serious magic with this moody and alternative couple.

We decided to start the shoot at Gooseberry Falls, a breathtaking location just north of Duluth. The sound of rushing water and the scent of nature’s freshness filled the air as we made our way to the stunning waterfalls. It was a sight to behold as T + M splashed around in the crystal-clear water, their laughter echoing against the rocky walls. The gentle mist enveloped them, giving the photos an ethereal touch. As the morning sunshine filtered through the windows of their cozy Airbnb, I arrived to capture the intimate moments of B + B getting ready for their special day. B’s excitement was electric as they received a gift – a pin adorned with precious photos of their late grandmother and brother. These loved ones held a special place in their hearts, and the pin served as a beautiful reminder that they were with them in spirit on this momentous occasion.

So, picture this – the day after this couple’s epic all-day elopement adventure in The Black Hills and Badlands National Park, we decided to take things up a notch and meet at their cozy Airbnb for a steamy and intimate couples boudoir session. To make the most of their full-day photography package, E + T decided to start early. I picked them up from their Airbnb just before sunrise, and together we drove into Joshua Tree National Park. The sky was just starting to illuminate with the first hints of light as we arrived at Arch Rock. The couple stood beneath the majestic arch, and I instantly began capturing magical moments.
